LONDON EXTENSIONS | SLIDING DOORS
All these London extension projects use Vitrocsa Minimal sliding doors to great effect.
The large Pavilion extension for a house in Kew by Found Architects uses four large (350kg) panes that can slide and stack to one side or the other. The remodelled house in Primrose hill by Boyarsky Murphy uses tall narrow TH+32 sliding windows (900x6000h). The extension by Paul+O Architects in Crouch End uses the V32 system with its high U- values, slim mullions and flush threshold – the design of the custom made covers for the recessed radiators repeated in the detailing of the terrace decking.
The windows with their slim ( 18mm) mullions give levity to the buildings and make clear what is old and what is new. For supersized sliding glazed doors, 4×4 rollers, developed for windows weighing over 150 KG per liner meter (video) are used, which guarantee for an easy sliding motion.
Here at Vitrocsa Minimal we have a team of Architects who will advise you on the most appropriate Vitrocsa system. We can also review and comment on interface detailing to try and ensure that problems are highlighted and resolved before an order is placed.
